SPLIFFTET

Splifftet is a Denver-grown collective that has been performing together for the past seven years. Comprised of Maliq Wynn on drums, Max Moore on piano, Alec Streete on vibraphone, Tony Golden on bass, and myself on saxophones, we have developed a unique group sound rooted in creative compositional style and bold improvisatory storytelling. In August of 2022, we recorded our first album, Live at Steadbrook, which is available on Bandcamp here. More recently, we released a single from a session in back in May at The Jazz Gallery. That’s available on Bandcamp here. We also have an exciting new project in the works that we’re excited to share with everyone hopefully within the next few months...so stay tuned!

THINGS OF THIS NATURE

Things of This Nature, comprised of Caylie Davis on trumpet, Shogo Yamagishi on bass, JJ Mazza on drums, and myself on woodwinds, is a New York City based collective that has been performing together for over two years. TOTN formed at the Manhattan School of Music, where we worked together as an ensemble under the direction of Patricia Brennan and Kenny Wessel. We recorded our first record at Park West Studios in April 2025, and it was released by Mahakala Music on December 5th, 2025. Available on Bandcamp here.

JOHN BENITEZ AND REVOLUTION

John Benitez is a Grammy-Award-winning bassist and composer whom I have had the pleasure of working closely with over the past two years. A tremendous force in the jazz scene, John has performed alongside Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Roy Hargrove, Chick Corea, and Wynton Marsalis. In December 2024, we recorded as Revolution, John’s newest band featuring up and coming players on the scene. The album is set to release in February 2026.

AARON POND

Aaron Pond is a Philadelphia-based horn player, improviser, and multi-instrumentalist. In 2024, Aaron formed an improvising chamber ensemble, comprised of himself, Judette Elliston on voice, Naomi Nakanishi on piano and synthesizer, and myself on clarinets. Since then, we have played several bills together; and in February 2025, we recorded an album at the Jazz Gallery. The record is set to be released in January 2026.

DUO WITH ALEX WHITE

I have been collaborating with multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Alex White (@Commodity-Creature) since the beginning of summer 2023. A fantastic tuba player, guitarist, and improviser, Alex always brings something very exciting to the table when we play together. While we often perform as a trio with Maliq Wynn, Alex and I also recorded some of our duo performances, which came out wonderfully, and are available for further listening online @commoditycreature.bandcamp.com .

GABE RUPE GRUPE

In August of 2021, I recorded on Gabe Rupe’s debut album, Emergence. The album is now available for listening on all streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Here are a couple selections from the record: an original composition of mine entitled “Safe Passages,” and an original by Gabe entitled “Joey and the Wolf.” Both of these pieces were written for our dear friend Joey Pearlman who passed away in 2021. ALMANAC THE MUSICAL

In fall of 2021, I had the privilege to play in the horn section for Almanac: the Musical – an original play conceived, written, and produced by my good friends Harrison Clark and Ben Mizrach. This project was a massive undertaking for everyone involved, and I am so proud of the impact it has already made in the community. The studio recording of the show is now available for listening on all streaming services!
